When transporting dangerous goods, it is necessary to comply with all safety requirements provided for in the legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as international agreements. To confirm the compliance of the condition of the vehicle and the qualifications of the personnel with the goods being transported, before transporting them, a list of documents required for the transportation of dangerous goods should be prepared.
Documents for the transportation of dangerous goods are divided into groups:
- Permitting documentation.
- Accompanying documents for transportation.
- Documentation for the driver indicating his suitability for this type of activity.
- Additional documentation designed to prevent consequences in case of emergency situations.
Permitting documents regulating the transportation of dangerous goods include a carrier's license, which is issued by the licensing authority after appropriate checks, as well as permission to conduct a flight indicating a specific route. Permission can be obtained from the State Highway Department or, if the traffic is carried out within the same municipality, from self-government bodies. If the road is privately owned, permission is obtained from its owner. In order to receive it, you should prepare a copy of a document from the traffic police stating that the characteristics of the car correspond to the cargo being transported.

Transportation documents required for the transportation of dangerous goods include:
- A waybill containing a detailed description of the route. It should indicate difficult sections of roads, places intended for stopping and refueling, and indicate the total travel time. It also contains information about the shipper and the customer and provides information about the cargo itself (its dimensions, weight, hazard class and a digital code containing measures taken in an emergency to avoid harm to people and the environment).
- A waybill that serves to record and control the movement of vehicles.
- Safety data sheet. Must be completed by the shipper and contain information about the substance being transported, its composition, properties, types of hazards, and possible impacts on the environment. The requirements for transportation conditions, loading and unloading operations, and first aid measures are also indicated here. In addition, the passport must contain information about the cargo manufacturer.
- For goods in closed containers, a special document is required confirming that in this state the cargo does not pose an immediate danger.
- An emergency card containing information about the level of danger of the cargo, as well as full information about measures to prevent damage that occurs in the event of damage.

Depending on the need, you may need to take with you such additional documents as addresses and contact information of all officials, duty units along the route, instructions containing measures to prevent damage and other documents, the list of which may vary in each specific case.< /p>
